5 Ways To Transform Your Health Before 9am

It's 6:00am; you drag yourself out of bed almost tripping over your laptop left on the floor from working late the night before. You reach for your phone and before you've even had a chance to step out of bed you're already planning the day ahead - from what you'll wear, to what you'll eat and not to mention the big To-Do list for when you arrive at your desk at work. You have a busy schedule - so who has time for health, right?
This used to be my day, and if this sounds anything like your mornings, then you're going to need to find some ways to reduce the morning stress and increase your health and happiness before you step foot out the door.
Luckily, introducing a few small morning activities can dramatically improve your health, happiness and confidence, and even boost your energy levels to allow you to power through your day.
Here are 5 Ways To Transform Your Health Before 9am:
Stretch it out
Morning stretching is a great way to start your day. It will send fresh blood and oxygen throughout your body, waking you up and giving you energy. By stretching in the morning you are preparing your muscles and joints to move freely throughout the day.
Drink a cup of Tea
Drinking tea in the mornings and enjoying some 'you time' can really set a positive tone for the day ahead. Take five minutes to sit, relax and enjoy the moment. Energizing teas such as Green Tea are a great way to kick-start your day. With caffeine and antioxidants, green tea will increase your energy and may also stimulate the body's metabolism, aiding in weight loss.
Smile
Start your morning by washing your face, looking yourself in the mirror and smiling for 30 seconds. Smiling is contagious, and when you smile your body releases endorphins, which make you feel happier and less stressed. Smiling also puts you and those around you in a more positive mood. If you're in a bad mood, try smiling and you will notice the difference immediately.
Meditate for 5 minutes
Meditating for 5 minutes a day will change your life. Meditation benefits can include: improved memory, greater relaxation, increased emotional balance, and an enhanced sense of self and satisfaction in life. A great morning meditation is one centred on gratitude. Be grateful for yourself, your family, your spirit, your dog, your work, your health and anything else that is a part of your life. Be still and try to be grateful for at least ten things each morning. You'll be astounded how simply focusing on the positive can bring about a happier day.
Give a Compliment
Be as kind as you possibly can. Smile at a stranger, ask the person in the shop how their day is going, pay for someone else's morning coffee, compliment one of your work colleagues, or just send a smile to someone on the street who looks like they might need it. Sharing the love is one of the best ways to improve your sense of well being.
Positive actions make for a positive life. Although it can be challenging at times, following a few simple steps each morning can transform your morning and life in a positive way.
